Princess Piano update released

Princess Piano update released

Aug 23

Version 1.2 of Princess Piano was just released. This version includes some major stability updates as well as supporting the French language.

Say Bonjour to Princess Piano! 😉

This is a fantastic game. I’ve been wanting my children to learn to play piano and this is a great start. My daughter enjoys this ap but the problem we came across is how do we start back at beginner (at the note of C), whether my first daughter wants to begin again or my other daughter would like to start it, too. It seems to only pick up where we left off.

Any thoughts on how we can start back at the beginning???

  2. Hi Tammi,
I am so glad you are enjoying the game! To get to earlier levels you just to press the blue arrow to the left on the game selection screen.

Right now it saves the progress of only one user. But I hope to add the ability for multiple children to use the app, and have their individual progress saved. Stay tuned for an update that will offer that feature!

Does the game have to be played onscreen or can it be played using a real piano?

    • Hi William,
Right now it is just the on-screen keyboard that controls the game. If there is enough demand for an attached usb keyboard this is something I could look into.

Another comment : in French – at least in France – notes are do re mi fa sol do la si . Multiple gamers would help too !

    • Thanks Hln,
I do realize this but I merely wanted to make it accessible to French speakers without having to change the basic structures in the app. I hope you understand. If you have any other French language corrections please let me know…
You can have multiple player profiles, if you go into the settings from the homepage.

Game has locked up. How do we unlock it

I like this app! My son (6 years old) is learning notes and keys. He especially likes trying to create new songs – great feature!

My only issue is that I bought a keyboard so that he can use your app to learn fingering on a real keyboard… only to discover that you are not midi supported!

I’m sure it’s not an easy thing to do, but we would be so delighted if you updated this with midi support so he could play it from our keyboard!

This is a fun game and visually appealing for little girls. The problem I am having is that the snapshots taken in the ‘dressing room’ cannot be seen in my photo album. It does save something, but it is black with no image. What am I doing wrong?
Ps- I would really like to see midi compatibility!

    • Hi Katherine, I am glad you are enjoying the game and thanks so much for bringing this to my attention. It must have broken recently with one of Apples iOS updates…

I have been working on an update that also includes having a bit more of a forgiving scoring system. It looks like this is also something that will need to be addressed. I am sorry to say midi support won’t be one of the additions at this time, I looked into it and it was going to be quite difficult to implement 🙁

    • Hi Katherine,
I just wanted to catch you up, the latest version in the store fixes the issue with the dressing room photo not being saved (as well as some other fixes).

I absolutely LOVE this app!! I just have a couple of issues I’m wondering about…
    – When I add new players I can only see the first 2, I’m unable to scroll down to see the other 3 that I added.
    – Is there any way to change the game speed for each player? I know I can go in each time and change it but it would be great if it was always at one speed for player 1, another speed for player 2, etc.
    – Is there any way to turn off the storyline with the witch? I love the game part but I would rather not show my kids the fairy tale storyline.

Thanks again for a great app!

I bought this app twice and it never opens……just blinks. I have a 5.1.1 version iPad and with plenty of room for Princess Piano. What do you suggest?

    • Hi Mary,
When you say an iPad 5.1.1. Do you mean you are using the operating system 5.1.1? That is pretty far back, I am not sure how it will run on that old an operating system. If upgrading your operating system to the newest (ios8) is not an option, I am happy to offer you a refund instead…

I have a promo code for Piano Princess, but don’t know how to use it. I would like to try the game before recommending it to my students. How do
    I use the promo code?
